Upon arriving at the scene, Ekikere found Ikuenobe motionless, her body positioned in an unsettling manner. Next to her was an empty bottle, suspected to have contained a widely used pësticide, though its specific name has not been disclosed by authorities.
The presence of the bottle raised immediate concerns about the circumstances of her déáth, prompting speculation about the cause.Officers from the Ogun State Police Command were swiftly dispatched to the scene to investigate.

When reached for comment, the Ogun State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, addressed the incident with caution. Speaking via telephone, Odutola noted that the police are still working to establish the precise cause of Ikuenobe’s déáth.
She expressed concern about the narratives circulating in the public domain, describing them as creating a “negative impression” across the state. “The police are yet to confirm the actual cause of her déáth,” Odutola stated. “No family would want themselves or their loved ones associated with such a sensitive matter, and we are committed to handling this case with the utmost care and professionalism.
